New handmade clothing shop opens in Five Points called PAMUT. Owner and designer Kat Williford is a Raleigh original and native that greets you at the door as you enter the calm and soothing surroundings. Sourcing organic cotton and other textiles for the collection of T’s, tops, cammis and dresses, she has her raw product spun and loomed right here in the Old North State.
Additionally, she dyes all of the spun product in-house. Be sure to ask her what she used to create each of her different patterns for the pieces. 🙂
Keeping it local matters greatly to this native daughter. Not only, is her starting product ‘organic’ but it has touched North Carolina hands. All of the designs and craftsmanship are done by Kat in her shop at 233 Bickett Boulevard in the 5 Points neighborhood. This is the same location of what was most recently, For Your Convenience.
Kat grew up in the Five Points neighborhood and has returned home after years of learning and perfecting her craft in Budapest, Hungary. So a little old world design has found a home here inside the Beltline. FYI, she regularly works with customers on personal designs. That way if you desire, your clothes can be a collaborative effort with the artist, truly adding your touch to a handcrafted design.
For the guys, she has a 15 foot chipping range and carries the L&L line of golf apparel. There are some wonderful gift options outside the clothing also available to check out. The store has a great relaxed vibe! As a small business owner, this type of entrepreneur hopes to make a big impression in our hometown. Drop in and support local business. #shoplocal
